Gloucester Point resident Junior & Jennifer Munn will be showing
their Pomeranian Ch Achilles Fit To Be Thai'd at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in Madison Square Garden, New
York, NY., in February.
The dog is the result of a breeding that was years in planning and
was accomplished through a 2,432 mile and 48 hour round trip journey to Nova Scotia Canada.
Mrs. Munn said that Thai's show career already includes wins in
Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania and that a show is planned in Florida prior to making the trip
to New York City.
Once in New York the dog will compete in the 131st annual Westminster
Kennel Club dog show against dogs from almost every state of the union and with many other countries represented as well.
She adds that Thai's most important job though is as a therapy dog,
he and his housemates are frequent visitors at a Gloucester assisted living community where Mrs. Munn is employed
as a nurse.
